There is an increasing need in the U.K. for courses that teach English as an Additional Language (EAL).  The high numbers of economic migrants and asylum seekers entering the UK in recent years has placed local authorities and school under great pressure to deliver education to new arrivals of school age.  The low level of English language skills among the majority of the new arrivals makes this even more difficult.

Accipio offers a range of New to English courses designed to help new arrivals improve their English language skills and enable them to fully participate in mainstream lessons.  The courses can be planned to fit in with the rest of a student’s school timetable.

Accipio also offers a series of Basic Skills courses in literacy and numeracy which may assist new arrivals to integrate fully into a mainstream school in the U.K.  For more information on what Accipio offers young people who do not speak English as their first language, follow the links to the left.
