Secondary Schools

Accipio Learning works with secondary schools around the country to provide flexible education programmes which support schools’ mainstream provision.

Accipio offers live teaching over the internet for students at risk of exclusion or on fixed-term exclusions.  Live online lessons provide a secure environment where a student interacts with teachers and other Accipio students and where they can continue with GCSE studies until they return to the mainstream classroom.

Accipio can also offer schools the Accipio Library of pre-recorded lessons.  The Library is an easy way to provide excluded students with instant access to lessons during their exclusion and for other students it can provide flexible support to assist with homework, coursework and exam revision.  The Library is also used in the mainstream classroom when a subject-specialist teacher is not available.

Schools can also benefit from Accipio’s Express GCSE courses.  These begin in January and are aimed at Year 11 students whose education has been interrupted through illness or exclusion and who have limited time to prepare for their GCSE exams.
